Which GF Electronics scales have RS232 output?
RS232 serial output is standard on most of our table top (price computing and billing) and platform scale models. It is available on request for chicken scales. Contact us with your specific model to confirm availability.
What is the difference between RS232 and RS485?
RS232 is a point-to-point connection (one scale to one PC) with a maximum cable run of about 15 m. RS485 is a differential bus that supports up to 32 devices on a single cable run of up to 1200 m. RS485 is preferred for factory floors, multi-scale warehouse setups and PLC/SCADA integration.
Can I connect GF scales to Tally or billing software?
Yes. GF scales with RS232 output send weight data in standard serial format. Most billing and Tally integration tools (including TallyPrime serial capture plug-ins) read directly from the COM port. We can also supply custom middleware or a PC data logger if needed.
How does Bluetooth connectivity work on table top scales?
The scale pairs with your Android or iOS device (or Bluetooth-enabled PC) via BLE 4.x. Weight data is streamed as a serial string to your paired device. It works with standard Bluetooth serial apps or we can develop a custom mobile app for your workflow.
What relay rating do digital output scales support?
Relay outputs on our platform scales are typically rated at 5 A / 250 V AC (dry contact). The trigger threshold (setpoint weight) is configurable from the indicator. Number of relay channels (typically 2–4) depends on the indicator model specified at order.

The Wi-Fi second display is a remote indicator unit that connects to your existing Wi-Fi network and mirrors the weight reading from the main scale in real time. Range is determined by your Wi-Fi coverage — typically up to 50 m indoors without signal issues. It is ideal for customer-facing counters and production scoreboards.
